Fall Clean Up -2013

Saturday, October 26 (9 a.m.- Noon)

Annual Fall Clean Up of Scarborough Marsh

This annual event is a collaboration between several partners including the Scarborough Marsh Audubon Center, the Friends of Scarborough Marsh, Town of Scarborough, TogetherGreen, and others.

If you or your organization would like to provide volunteers, please contact Linda Woodard (415-8331) or info@scarboroughmarsh.org.

What to Bring

Please bring your own work gloves. Remember to dress appropriately for changes in the weather. (Have some fun - dress in a marsh-themed costume - best dressed wins a prize!) Bags, plastic gloves, and trash removal will be provided by the Town of Scarborough.

We are also partnering with Project GRACE to help our neighbors in need, so please bring non-perishable food items for the pantry! (Peanut butter is always in short supply. No glass jars or expired foods, please.)

Where to Go

Make your way to the Scarborough Marsh Audubon Center first - from there volunteers will disperse to clean up heavily used areas of the marsh or stay and help the nature center prepare for the winter ahead.
